Questions families ask

Is Grafiora available yet?

Grafiora is in its first release and is coming to the App Store and Google Play. This page will link to both once it is there.

How do I invite someone to my family?

Only a family owner can invite. In the app, open Settings, choose your family, then Family members, and invite the person by their phone number. The app hands you an invitation link to send however you like: a message, an email, in person. The link works only for the person who signs in to Grafiora with that phone number, and only for seven days.

How do I sign in? Is there a password?

There is no password. You sign in with your phone number: Grafiora sends a code to it, and the code confirms the number is yours. Adding an email address is optional. Once you verify it, it helps you get back in if you ever lose access to your number, and it is where Grafiora writes to you about your account.

I changed my phone number or lost my phone.

If you still have the old number, you can change it in the app from your account. If you can no longer receive codes on it, choose to recover your account when you sign in: Grafiora sends a code to your verified email address and then lets you continue with your new number. Without a verified email, write to support and we will help you.

I lost my connection while saving a memory. Is it gone?

No. Saving never waits for the upload. The memory and its photos are kept on your phone the moment you tap Save and are sent when the app can reach the server, even if you close the app in between. The memory shows its upload state on its page until it is done.

I deleted a memory by mistake.

Open Settings, choose your family, then Recently deleted. A deleted memory can be restored for thirty days by the person who added it or by a family owner. After thirty days it is permanently erased.

How do I make a memory book?

Open the Books tab and tap +. Choose who the book is about, the period it covers, a look, whether to include photos, stories and milestones, and a title. Grafiora makes the book from the memories of that person in that period. When it is ready, everyone in your family can open it from the Books tab, and its page lets you keep or send a copy as a PDF.

Where do a photo's date and place come from?

From the photo file itself. When you add a photo from your library, the app reads what the file recorded about when and where it was taken and which camera took it, and keeps that with the photo. Grafiora never uses your phone's location and never asks for location permission. You can see and use these details on a photo's own page, reached from the photo's full-screen view; a photo that did not record them simply shows nothing there.

Can someone outside my family see our memories?

No. Grafiora has no public profiles, feed or search. A family's memories are visible only to the members that family invited. The privacy page explains how Grafiora is built to keep them private, and the privacy policy describes how they are stored and who runs the servers.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings, then Account, and choose Delete account. Delete your account explains what is erased, what a family you shared keeps, and what to do if you can no longer sign in.

Which phones does Grafiora run on?

iPhone and Android phones. Grafiora is designed for a phone held upright; it is not yet laid out for tablets.
